   and i would laugh if a squirrel or a bat goes in from the outside and crashes on the CPU… ;D

   @SINEKT you could try a HEPA filter, or a 3m filtrete filter cut down to size, they usually have a high cross flow rating and filter down to ridiculous particle sizes and i bet they would work great for your type of application.

   I have a server at home and adopted the same solution. My building has air-vents in the kitchens so I put my server in the kitchen and built a very nice air cooling duct pretty much like yours. I used a drainage pipe and elbow joint to bring air down from the vent, which is at the top of the wall, then continued with a flexible aluminium tube to the server’s air intake. A big problem I have, though, is with dust and other "dirt" I collect from outside air. Weekly cleaning is required.

   When is the last time you’ve taken a cup of hot coffee out into the cold and it developed condensation on it?

   last time i checked, only cold objects surrounded by hot air developed condensation.

   6th grade science physics here folks….

   I would expect so after about more than about 10 minutes (some relatively short time…)…

   Nice but my AMD six-core with custom cooler (AC Freezer Xtreme) gets 21°C idle and it’s very quiet.

    LOL thats pretty cool idea. but i water cool my i5 and get the same results with a 4.3ghz OC.

    not knocking the idea i think its pretty sweet but should just do water cooling. u will like it so much more.

    yeah thats cool the cpu is running a very low temp how about the rest of the system thats not getting any airflow what so like the RAM
