What is an APU?

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

With Fusion technology from AMD, the PC industry will be changed forever. AMD is incorporating multi-core CPU (x86) technology, a powerful DirectX®11-capable discrete-level graphics and parallel processing engine onto a single die to create the first Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). Learn how AMD is doing that here.

@FishNb0at I couldn’t agree more my friend. My PC has AMD in it along with the Radeon and I get some pretty good HD videos out of my PC. Like rendering a 1080 HD video and running a high quality video game at the same time.

@LegoKid92 LOL Mac never had the power of graphic processing, PC was and always will be better than a over priced Mac

Can’t wait until I get my AMD Fusion netbook, so excited! :D

What’s the score with T-RAM. I’m guessing when AMD build 10 core die’s they are either going to have to switch to 28nm processes or use T-RAM to save on die space.
It would be great if T-RAM really is as good as has be touted.

Mac will no longer have the power of graphic processing! AMD will take the PC world by storm! Long live AMD and the PC!

inb4 Apple poorly copies it and calls it the "Super Fast Shiny Magical It Just Works Devices"

  12. pivan23 says:

will they be making a desktop APU?

  13. chrisfur2 says:

@WindowsVideoArchive i think its basically the amount of bandwidth the cpu is able to support or transfer.

  14. chrisfur2 says:

@GTR717 probably so, but i really think the APU’s will be for mobile computing where space is limited. like in shuttle computers, laptops, stuff like that. but it would be awesome if we get dual APU video cards. :)

they have removed the hypertransport? soo hyper transport ends at 3.1?

    @BrixXSM no.

can you put this in a am3 socket?

  20. BrixXSM says:

The amount of uneducated opinions on these AMD videos are starting to bug me.
If you want to form an opinion on PC components, take a course in computer science, do some research on processor architecture and electronic engineering, and please stop acting as though this is Intel vs. AMD.

    What’s hyper transport?

  22. KlingonSpider says:

this will be perfect for netbooks

They should of got Chuck Norris to narrate this…
