QuagsQube ‘The Overclock’ 4.5GHz i7 980X – ATi 5870 – Watercooled – Vantage – Cinebench 11.5

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

Song: Pink Floyd – Shine On You Crazy Diamond Heres The Overclock on my latest PC build, QuagsQube. There were a few bugs in the Asus OCing and monitoring software that added up to a deal breaker for keeping it loaded. I can create a more limited, but functional CPU fan speed control in the BIOS and like most people, I OC in the BIOS anyway. Ill go into that stuff with The Motherboard vid. I replaced the Intel X25m as a C: drive with a Crucial C300 128GB SATA III (the Intel is now my FSX drive). I start off with some HDD benchies, then to WEI (for what its worth), then some Vantage scores and then a live 4.5GHz Cinebench 11.5 and 3D Vantage run If you find this vid interesting, check out The Build & The Rundown vids to see it from assembled case to completion. Buy the song at Amazon: www.amazon.com I will be doing at least one more vid on this project for 2010: The Motherboard will discuss the connections, config, indicators, features and overclocking of the Asus Rampage III Formula. Ill show where the software disappoints and is useful. I will also be looking forward to someone making a good mobo waterblock to add to the CPU loop. I would make a vid for that. 111010 I picked up an EVGA GTX 580 and will run it on air for a bit before I decide to WC it. This is what I expected back in April and they finally took care of HDMI audio (well, not completely as there still isnt bitstreaming). For 2011, I suspect I will be going SLI, but I am interested in what <b>…<b>

  4. lolatyoufools says:

Not that it matters but ram running at 1832 MHz at 8-9-9-24 1T gets that 7.9 and I guess they want dual xeons or something for that 7.9 on the cpu
