@bradahbob my advice is no… laptops barely hold up the good temperature without anything overclocked… it would burn :P
especialy if u have the Dell with exploding battery lol
well… back to the case, DONT OVERCLOCK IT!: ) *friendly advice*

  5. dewedi says:

@bradahbob Laptops can be overclocked but I’d say that add max 0.2-0.4 Ghz

    BLABLABLABLA….. JUST OVERCLOCK WTH! :P

  7. 901fsb says:

@racinglad most prebuilt computers dont let you overclock

Regarding voltage for everyone asking… Follow what this gentleman says. Anything over 1.4-1.5 Volts on a new (and older) Intel CPU’s is highly risky. I have an i7 860 overclocked to 3.2 GHz with a X21 multiplier. It runs on full-load (Crysis, STALKER, Prime95 etc…) with a temp of 55-60* C. Like he said do it slowly and in increments. If you can’t change your voltage on the BIOS you by definition can not overclock… The whole point is to jack up the Volts thus gaining a higher frequency.

Hi, i have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processore 4200+ and it only runs on 2.20 GHz, how do i overclock it so it runs on atleast 2.5 GHz?

Ps: i have the exact same BIOS as u.

  11. KissMyDonkeyEditing2 says:

@aaf9999 Dude most laptop BIOSes dont have the option to OC because if they if did it would burn up. Even at a relatively small OC. Desktops usually have better airflow then laptops which is way manufactures allow you to push them further then stock clocks

you wrong man …. he or she can overclock a laptop
don’t say something when you don’t know anything about it…

@bradahbob you should not. Laptops have a lot of overheat problems, without overclocking, so overckock it, and it will explode :)

  38. FELIX0123 says:

safe way to do voltage is do 1 voltage at a time, if it fails to bootup do 1 more voltage… or skip 2 at a time…
