@chanaman12345 I’ve had a Q6600 G0 at 3.2 (400×8) with stock cooling @ ~1.33V 24/7 stable for the past 30 months. Will change cooler and go 3.6 but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

  2. InvincibleRnB says:

The 1.45 voltage is too much for that cpu unless you have a good cooling unit for the cpu you can run the q6600 at 3.0ghz with a voltage of 1.37 which is very stable i have tested it it is stable no crashes what so ever…

But thank you i like your video and has helped me alot so yea THANKS YOUR KOOL…

I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make this video.

I tried your values on all qdr’s ranging from 2.8 to 3.15ghz and the computer wouldn’t load windows. It never has been able to load into these speeds no matter what voltage I give it for some reason. When I used these same values on 3.2Ghz it loads and runs perfectly fine.

Thank you for the values and the tutorial, I encoded 5 videos in a row and the max temp for my Q6600 G0 was 58c.

@gippula depends on your mobo, sometimes mobo reports the wrong temps or you program reports the wrong thing…….just try using other programs (never use Speedfan) CoreTemp is the best one i have ever seen. or check bios.

    i have q6600 idle 46C and load 65C i use noctua uh n12p cooler. 9×400 1.28 vcore.

The volts are discouraging to say the least. Already have to use crazy high volts on my vintage e6400 just to get past 3.5ghz on my 780i.

You mentioned wanting to reduce boot time. Unfortunately even you had your CPU clocked at 5GHZ your computer wouldn’t boot much faster if at all. I’m sure you know that boot time is almost totally dependent on the HDD. Unless you could overclock your hard drive you won’t boot faster, SSD’s though will boot much faster. I have a 64gb SSD and I boot windows in under 20 seconds from power on to all my startup programs up and my system ready to go.
