    hello guys i recently overclocked my Q6600 to 3.4 GHz with 4 gigs of RAM
    my V CORE is SET to auto(1.321) ….but cpuz says my VCORE is 1.408V
    my idle temps are 32,32,27,29 nd load temps are 42,48,46,47 nd sometimes touches 50* but that depends on my room temperature but its stable with intel burn nd prime 95…my CPU cooler is (thermaltake DU-ORB)….so my question is 1.408V is it too much for CPU??
    if it is can i bring it manually down to 1.3 or something….cuz i am going to look for 3.65ghz..

    @bojic9miso

    overclock in laptops is not supported, and there are some good reasons for this (cooling, psu limits, motherboard limits, etc…)

    try removing the ram blocks only having one ram block in the pc when you boot, or try removing the internal battery in the motherboard.

    up tp 3ghz u can overcrlock the memory along with the cpu with no problems, but if you wanna get over 3.2 you have to play with the SPD

    I wonder how many people would be interested if someone was capable of overclocking to 10ghz? How much would people pay for that? Using no other cooling other then regular heat sink cooling.

    Had mine at 2.4ghz for quite some time, but seeing that games are getting more demanding, and that my comp has sufficient cooling, I think I will just OC it a little to 2.55ghz.
