@longdingwongdong sounds like u either have a entry level motherboard or a brand name pc. would u tell me ur motherboard’s model

  2. longdingwongdong says:

what do i do if i cant find out where to go in the bios to over clock it. So far i cant select anything to change to overclock with

  3. mullenmaniac says:

ive got the same processor, watercooled with a corsair H50, and ive got it running at 3.85ghz(percore) at 1.50 vcore :D DD

@dwergaap When overclocking this high you can’t achieve stability with too low a Voltage. I OC this very same cpu and it’s only 100% stable with high voltage. It’s stable with low voltage if you use non complex programs. I know for sure yours won’t survive Prime 95 in 8 hours at 1.475.

  5. dwergaap says:

Having 1.6V for 3.8GHz is really bad.

Right now the same CPU runs at 1.475v / 3.68GHz.

  6. tricccple says:

@Bloodrote23 u can open the computer and try to read model number off the motherboard, or u can run CPUZ (free to download just google it) in motherboard section it tells u about ur motherboard

  7. Bloodrote23 says:

how do u know wat ur motherboard is?

  8. tricccple says:

@deelberg it is very budget board at it’s time, it is a nvidia chipset (6150/ nforece 430), it’s quiet old, they added bios update to support later cpus, but the chipset have been around since old Athlon64 X2s. it’s not meant for overclockingm and that’s why overdrive doesn’t work

  9. deelberg says:

This motherboard dont seem to have a way to overclock under bios. IT is a ECS MCP61M-M3

  10. tricccple says:

    @deelberg overclock under BIOS

  11. deelberg says:

  12. still1waiting1gaara1 says:

  13. neonzion7 says:

@still1waiting1gaara1 you cant, u wrote his a month ago so i hope u didnt buy the computer….. computers bought in stores or retail like online cant… only homemade or cusatom pcs can (usualy) that the motherboard supports that…

  14. tricccple says:

  15. heatfilter says:

I bought one of these today, but @ 2.8ghz, I don’t consider OC’ing this at all, But I’m different, when you live the sempron * and athlon life, you’ll understand.

  21. tricccple says:

@still1waiting1gaara1 i can’t do a video on something i don’t have but if u got question like an answer, just pm me , i will try my best to help

  22. still1waiting1gaara1 says:

@tricccple Well, my parents are gonna get me my first desktop (always used laptops) and I don’t know for sure how good it is. I was wondering if you can review it just by looking at the specs. It has 7 and I know nothing about the compatability of my programs with 7. And I also like to game, but don’t know how well it will handle.

  23. tricccple says:

    depends , what u need

  24. still1waiting1gaara1 says:

You seem to know allot about computers, can I request a video?

  25. jaesungauzakim says:
