    Just because the software goes to 1.5 volts does not mean the card will do that and in fact I doubt its possible. Shame you didn’t use a stock air cooled card, the hd6970 is a poor overclocker on air usually unable to OC more than 10%. The GTX570 and GTX580 however both overclock over 20% on air pretty easily.

    However nice to see water changes the situation a bit for the 6970

    How did you overclock that high?? i have a XFX 6970, it wont let me go over 950mhz core 1375 memory clock… do i have to flash the bios with asus bios?? also where did you find your water block?? i couldnt find one for this card like two weeks ago when i had the cash and i was buying a water setup .. please help thanks :)

    started getting lag at 1475 in 3dmark11 had to go back to 1450
