I have a new motherboard, and CPU, so i tried out the Carbon! Asus K8N-E Deluxe AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.80GHz @2.20GHz 1024MB Kingmax DDR400 @490MHz Galaxy GeForce FX5500 256MB DDR 128-bit @325340MHz Settings: 640×480, everything wich is allowed by the gpu is on the max!
Now I have New PC:
AMD Athlon II X3 425 2.70GHz @ 3.24GHz
ASUS M4A77 AM3
2x1GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066MHz
Sapphire HD4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3
Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB 7200rpm 32MB SATA-II

Change that FX5500 with a 3450 or 3650.
Of course you can! My friend has the same PC as yours, but other MoBo and 2048MB RAM, and he play Carbon on Max!:)

It is depend on your mothernoard that you can overclock your CPU, or can’t. About your vga, try another driver versions, with my FX5500 I used 93.71 or something like that!:) Good Luck!:)
Strange… I can’t get my AMD Sempron 3000+ past 2.0GHz (i didn’t tried to lower the multiplier yet) and last time i tried to OC the video card(FX5200 ~256mb too) i ended up in freezing my PC right after boot…
About the game… I can play it at good FPS even w/o OC
