So, no onboard GPU stuff crap what ever – Would the pc even start up without putting a gpu in a pci slot ?

  5. njhth says:

@xlegendqc87x Ouch I didn’t know that… Thankfully my mobo is 16×2 , I didn’t notice the X-fire Ready or SLi Ready on the box. In theory you can get crossfire/sli running fine, but it won’t be at the same speeds. 16×2 for optimal performance and 8×16 average performance with a loss of 15-30 FPS in some games. I’ve read about this all the time, a lot of people do not know about this and it’s too late. That’s why I did my research and saw that my mobo was crossfire ready

  6. njhth says:

Thumbs up for MSI on this one because of the Dual GPU layout. My poor SATA cables are crushed by my ATI 5850 Crossfire. It sucks, but MSI found out the trick. I hope Gigabyte does the same.

  7. njhth says:

You got the Europe Version because your Canadian :-P How aboot that?

  8. njhth says:

@Andey17 dude just look it up on google , it’s that easy …incase you don’t know search: msi 770-G45 sli support

  9. xlegendqc87x says:

this mobo run 16x, 4x not really optimized for crossfire …a least you can crossfire 5770 without problems but dont try to crossfire 58** cards.

I’m planning to buy this with a x6 1055t with the new bios update, but will this use the x6 to it’s full potential? Heard some claims and stuff about it not using it’s max potential. And how good is it for overclocking a x6 to like 4.0 GHz?

  24. luscomps says:

    awwww i like ur kitteh…

  25. ed0985587 says:

have this board on the way. newegg has it cheap. it will end up being like $40. i don’t expect it to have all the bells and whistles but for $40 it will be a solid board. will upgrade later on to usb 3.0 and SATA 6gb/s. i have another msi board that has the easy oc switch and it’s pretty simple to flick and boost your clock.
