Modern Warfare 2 on Athlon II X4 620 & HD 4770 Maxed Out

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

Playing Modern Warfare 2 on following rig: OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 3,0GHz GFX: ATI HD 4770 [XFX] RAM: OCZ PC6400 4GB 1680×1050, 4xAA, 16xAF, maxed out settings. Framerate: 50-60fps MINIREVIEW: After playing it for an hour or so I was already giggling at the over-the-top action mayhem that I witnessed on the screen in front of me. A few hours later it even blew my mind, and then again, and then again. The singleplayer campaign certainly delivers, atleast on all levels that matter to a game of the Modern Warfare franchise; if you like buildings blowing up in your face, bullets whining past your head, shooting ALOT of bad guys, and more, youll definately like this game. My only negative opinion, really, is that the single player campaign was somewhat short: ~5 hours tops.

    @CecerioCorp
Yup, it’s a common setup nowadays. Cheap, yet excellent performance. I haven’t really looked into the HD 6xxx series, but there could be something there as well.

Hey guys, do you know if this processor is going to support a decent amount of FPS while playing Black Ops? I plan on buying it next month but I need to be sure.

Nice rig, and btw. HD 5770 is about 20% faster than HD 4770 ;)

    I got a similar one, an X4 620 and HD 5750 :P

@spoken971 hey man i think that would be fine i would try for 4 gb Ram im also building my own gaming pc from what i have learned it looks good to me but ask a pro.

  13. mickthebarman says:

I have a 640 and a 5770 and am very happy with the result. I have a very solid budget rig. Cost me under 700 bucks with ram, mobo and case. Can max out crysis (without AA) and it doesnt have any trouble playing any current games at very respectable (If not Maximum) settings. I’d reccomend the 5770 over the 4770 for a budget rig for 2 reasons.
-Even though the 4770 slightly outperforms the 5770 it chews up a heap more power. (Like 45w more from memory)
    -The 5770 has dx11 capabilty.

    Yes

  15. spoken971 says:

    AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.0GHz
    Sapphire ATI HD5450 – 1GB

This CPU is really pound for pound the best out there for it’s price performance in my opinion. I got pretty lucky with mine because it clocks at 3.6ghz stable & blows away most other x4 620′s including some bad phenoms. I get MAD FPS with all the 3d games. The downfall for me is that I have a bad Video Card.

Worked hard and here it is!

    Phenom II AM3 x4 955 Black Edition,
    2gbx2 Kingston DDR3,
    Mobo Gigabyte 790XT-USB3,
    1TB W.D. Green,
    650W GX Cooler Master,
    21.5" LED Monitor
Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit ( since people say 62 bit isn’t necessary right now) and EVGA GTX460 768MB DDR5 SuperClocked.

The system I am going to build, but I need your help to determine whether it is "worth it" or "done well for a first-timer..XD" Please?

  21. andoi9292 says:

only if MW2 actually had destroyable buildings like 1:00

  22. Georgefromaccounting says:

this vid is great. it shows that there is no need to get an expensive 6core phenom. Wow a quad core for under a hundred bucks. Lets see Intel beat that!

  23. helloimclaudio says:

@jackpwnage117 Just get the Athlon II Quad @ 2.8 GHz

It’s pretty cheap, and its better than the Intel Core 2 Duo, and better than the Phenom x2, i tihnk its better than the phenom x3, not sure though.

  24. helloimclaudio says:

What cpu cooler do you use?
