    Do most processors come with that fan/heatsink? I ordered a Pentium dual-core, I hope it’s included.

    @jookur Well with the average level of intellegence regarding pc’s and their maintenance he may as well be :p.

  10. jookur says:

    Lmao… Using goggles and gloves when installing a CPU… Its not like his disarming a bomb, lol. and he sounds like he is teaching 4-year-olds.

  11. Constantine588 says:

    thanks for this video , it really helped :D

  12. lander77477 says:

    Don’t you need thermal paste???

    @Aleryn27 your welcome

    why do i feel like im disarming a bomb when im taking this apart

    @Splooshiba

    Ahh i would think the i5 would give a good 25% performance boost over a C2Q…and i will be overclocking it…im only 14 and i have just bought an ATI HD 5770…so i think i will wait a bit before i upgrade CPU and Mobo…

  16. Splooshiba says:

    @brendude95 i own an i5. its very hard to say what an equivalent would be, but i doubt it would be that drastic. you also have DDR3 ram, so this might give a fair old boost.

    the real advantage is you can clock an i5 750 to like 4 ghz on the same cooling you might only be able to pull 3.2 out of a C2Q on. the stock cooler will get you to 3 ghz easily. i got some fancy air cooling and got to 4.0 ghz. water cooling would be higher still.

    Ok, i might not overclock it much, but how much faster is an i5? Would 2.66ghz be equivelant to a 3.5ghz C2Q?

  18. 951258tike22 says:

    @brendude95 well… yeah you might want to consider upgraded cooling if youre gonna go that much.

  19. brendude95 says:

    @951258tike22

    I would say from 2.66ghz to the 3.5ghz area

  20. 951258tike22 says:

    @brendude95 it will be the same or very similar to the ones in the video, the i5 cooler should be plenty unless you plan on heavy overclocking.

  21. brendude95 says:

    @951258tike22

    Ah excellent, as in the type of screws in this video or typical screws? Would you recommend a better cooler rather than the stock Intel one?

  22. 951258tike22 says:

    @brendude95 the i5 probably has paste pre applied, as for the installation, it will still use the 4 screw things.

  23. brendude95 says:

    @951258tike22

    Hey, by the way with an Intel i5 cooler do i need to apply thermal paste or do i use the thermal pad? And also does the cooler install differently?

  24. brendude95 says:

    @madzane94

    Well when somebody knows nothing about CPU installation and there are many people overeacting about the difficulty of installing one, its nice to be reasured, seems pretty simplistic to me.

  25. mickeyliveshere says:

    Thankyou, lol i didnt kno i could get more thermal pads from intel!!

    using thermal paste is so not as good as a pad….
