my set cpu doesnt let me overclock it. its version 2.0.4
so i just open the app select autodetect and drag both bars to their full potential? Do I have to restart my phone or do anything special after that?
@symmetryofzero I know..lol. I have the Froyd Villian 1.5 ROM. Which is Android 2.2 -Froyo. Thanks though.

I dont have the option to overclock using this app. The highest I can get choose 576MHz. I’m using SetCPU 2.0.3 on my HTC hero with Froyd 1.5.

my samsung moment is STOCK 800mhz. i’m tryin to overclkock to 1.2 ghz because that is as high as it goes on the moment while not fryin anything vital. How do i define the speeds i want? i made a .txt on my sd and named from 133mhz to 1.2 ghz, and setcpu says it can’t read it. what am i doing wrong?

what rom or skin are you using to swipe your four bottom buttons like that. it looks like android 2.1 without sense but i have the sprint hero and they took the ability to take sense off

@Samaraki09 Yer same, 748MHz is too unstable just crashes all the time. But have you tried 720MHz yet?

I overclocked to 710, very stable, very cool, does not really effect battery life or heat, I get about 24-33C, because I turned it to "on demand" it only uses the extra mhz when using something, not all the time, such as in standby, as I’m not using it 24/7 only for quick texts or whatever, it stays cool.
748mhz is unstable, random crashes…

@GiannyBoi8 Just had a look and spotted that the new rom has an updated kernel which allows you to go to 748mhz.

@GiannyBoi8 You need to update your kernel, go to villainrom.co.uk im using2.6.29-ninpo-freqtwk@titan-dirty-b7a296fa ninpo@titan #39, there will be links and tutorials on how to update this, should just be a simple flash tho.

@GiannyBoi8 the battery on mine never goes over 35 degrees which is fine, and just so u understand, a 200mhz overclock when the stock is only 528 is just ridiculous. My advice, find your sweet spot (mine 691) and adjust the minimum to around half of that, then click performance if you want the cpu to run at peak speed and on demand if you are not, this way it will save on battery life and will give you performance when you need it.
