    darn i have the generation 1, beacuse mine has 356 mb of ram!!!, what the heck…

  5. chance9888 says:

    @UncleMarioBoss I’d say an eMac is probably still a pretty reliable server. The only thing is that if you start running applications, then it may get slow. I recommend maxing out the ram and getting a new hard drive. It also depends on what generation eMac you have. I do believe that apple, thought, has figured out that they can run up the bill on customers and people will still pay for it.

    Are emac’s still pretty fast. i want a server mac, and was thinking about a Mac Mini untill i saw the price. oh, and why are macs SOO expensive?
    RE THESE MACS RELIABLE, SINCE THEY ARE REALLY OLD NOW?

    I’ve got a 700hz Emac I’m bored with. I might give this over clocking a try. Thanks for the safey tips.
    I’m writing a screenplay about an old safe cracker who throws an old Emac into a his ex partners bath tub and shocks to death everybody in the apartment building that is taking a shower or a bath.
    Crazy huh?

    @chance9888
    Thank you,
    Yesterday I saw your video, and today I’ve done it! Now my eMac have 1GHz (1,07GHz :D ), I hope, than next time I try to OC’d it to 1.2 GHz ( I’m afraid overclock it to 1.33 and 1.42 :D DD)

  12. chance9888 says:

    @outatime88mh Good English. I understand it is a complex/complicated language. Please look at this link. Use the table about halfway through the page to change your resistor settings. Your motherboard can support up to 1.4GHz but i recommend to upgrade if you are good at soldiering. If not, I suggest getting a friend who is good at soldiering. Also, consider upgrading the cooling. You can find many mods online about cooling.

  13. outatime88mh says:

    Hello, sorry for my English.
    I have eMac G4 (800MHz) too, and want to know, if logic board for eMac 800MHz = logic board for eMac 1.42GHz. I want to "upgrade" it, but not sure. (:

  14. macnerd93 says:

    If it freezes up its most likely got the leaking capacitor problem

  15. chance9888 says:

    Sorry i dude, i’m not too sure that’s legitimate. changing changing your "AboutThisMac.string" is not considered overclocking it
