@nelizmastr It jumps between 47-49. It hit 50 for a sec once. I ran prime95 for about 10 minutes.
@Isakuma whats the max temp on full load? if its over 50, dont oc.
@nelizmastr What would be some decent temps for something like this? I have my dad’s old Zalman cooler on it, which is sufficient for up to a dual core.
Is it safe to OC something this old? The CPU currently idles at 40 or less.
@Isakuma not too well. you will have to have sufficient cooling,. the stock cooler wont let you push it over 100mhz OC.

That’s the processor I have. Along with an HD 4650 1GB, and 1 gig of ram.
How good can you OC it?
I have the same processor , same RAM, and same Video card ( not o/c , atm it’s on 512mb) ….but I was forced to change my card with my old one ( geforce fx5200) because I had low fps (10-20) in world of warcraft and counter strike source…
I want to say that with my old card , I manage to reach like 70-80 fps in counter strike source and 60-70 in wow…..

@Qapmoc10149 I dont have the Athlon 64 X2 anymore, bought an Athlon II X2 245. way easier to oc. got it stable @ 3.6Ghz

@nelizmastr no with my cnps 10x extreme keep all cool and quiet. and very very fast and do 9.60 sec on super pi 1M. Why you dont oc your atlhon, ist not hard to do ?

@nelizmastr still a great pc for surfing , music, listen video or something like that but i like more my new i5 750 @ 4.2ghz
