Do you think I *MIGHT* be able to over clock my Phenom x4 to 2.0Ghz, from 1.8GHz with this motherboard? MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3)
Thanks!
ty man i dont lyk opening my hardware and playing with it
I think accessing a BIOS on an HP laptop is F10. You pressed F1 to access BIOS. F1 is the key to enter system information.
@SirFancyBubbles They will not be damaged. If you are only overclocking the CPU.
i want to know how to be sure its stabile
@platinum243125 yup
@JaredHedgehog: is overclocking good for multi-core processors?
@platinum243125 No. It doesn’t. Unless you overclock a processor from 1.00GhZ to a lot more than it could handle then you are screwed.
Doesn’t overclocking shorten the life of your processor?
@painkillers6 in some games 10fps more in newer games 5fps and with video card oc 15 in older games 10 in newer games (just for example some games will be 8 more some 12 not exactly the number but about the number
@basbas63 work alot better?
@maxlundell yeah, I know, my question is if along the CPU, is it very likely that other components (like video card, Hard drive) get damaged too? Please respond. Thanks
@SirFancyBubbles
If the processor dies you have to either buy a new or get it repaired.
hi, im new here so i have a question: what is the worst case if the overclocking goes bad? Computer dies or is there some possible repair?

Well, not really helpful, but it’s much better than the other video… At least you showed us right stuff this time, instead of taking 10 seconds showing us how to restart the computer.

I HAVE A QUESTION………If i raise fsb from 266×9 to 288×9 do i have to lower the RAM frequency from 667 to 533 ??? Thnx (It happend to me before, when i was experimenting with fsb i couldn’t boot to windows (missing system32 file) and i had to reinstall windows. Can i loose data from disc when raising fsb. I cant raise multiplier(locked)(already latest bios) Thnx
