    @techunfolding unless you change the motherboard WITH THE CPU IT WILL WORK

  3. Farsadelcatolicismo says:

    @magThansen If it powers up but doesn’t boot up, then it could be a bad hard drive. The same happened to me and I swapped the hard drive and it worked fine…good luck..

  4. magThansen says:

    @proximxr i tried that and it didnt do much. further i tried turning the computer on while pressing and holding down the D key which lead to the screen changing collors for a short while, as pressing and holding down the FN key results in no image on the screen while some of the capslock lights and others light up. i just talked to dell they said they cant renew my warrenty since it ran out a year ago

    @dannythepcfreak I hope you’re being sarcastic…

  6. proximxr says:

    @magThansen Try taking one stick of ram out, if that doesn’t work, try the other, then if that doesen’t work, try a new battery/power supply.

    @M4rty09 You can’t change the GPU in an XPS M1530 (and most other laptops for that matter). They are soldered onto the motherboard. The only way to upgrade the GPU would be to buy a compatible motherboard for your laptop with a different GPU on it.
