   @AudiophileTubes CPU’s have gotten much cooler. If you would take the cooler off now, it will automatically shut down once it reaches 120 celsius. No damage. Also, mobile processors are less powerful and consume less power, so they do not make as much heat. Also, there is definitely a heatsink in the PC. It’s just very flat and small.

   500F rrr…. mayby it WILL stuff a CPU my AMD Adthon3200+ can go upto 95C without the system crashing.

   How do very powerful processors like the Intel i line or the AMD Phenom II line survive in a notebook PC, where there is very limited space? How can you fit a heatsink in such a small and thin unit? Thanks in advance.

    If you do that to a Pentium 4, then it would shutdown on a certain temperature.

    amd doesnt suck.. you can get a triple core for 80 bucks on newegg 3.0 too. its cheaper and better than intel.. plus intel is harder to over clock and amd lasts longer

    I believe the computer will shut down if the chip reaches 120 degrees Celsius.
