    athlon is challenging Pentium4.Sempron was challenging Celeron.they target diferent customers.But overall Athlon is faster

    @MidnightRedemption Basically, AMD and INTEL Are like Monster and Redbull, redbull cost more, and is in a smaller can, monster cost less and is in a bigger can.
    AMD = Monster, Intel = Redbull, pricey for what it has, AMD is like getting a unicorn lmao. (i didnt know what else to compare amd to, but the unicorn is a bit exaderated, but still WAY better than intel.)

    @MidnightRedemption Well all AMD CPU’s are cheaper in price, if u havn’t noticed that the phenom II x6 is under $300, and the intel 6-core is 1000. I’ve heard that intel is faster in windows because windows and intel have a contract or something. but i still use amd because there more cheaper, reliable, and better than intel (amd’s are good for gaming, OCing, Ect.)

  4. MidnightRedemption says:

    @UltimaOmegaX317 wow… it blew my mind. i just thought sempron is just cheaper.

  5. UltimaOmegaX317 says:

    @MidnightRedemption yeah Sempron there very good, i had a pentium 4 2.8ghz and it has more cache than my sempron, my sempron is 2.0ghz i believe its the MT/s that makes it more reliable, plus the newer semprons blow all intels single cores away, (sempron 140, 145 have a locked core in them but when u unlock it the name becomes athlon II x2)

  6. MidnightRedemption says:

    @UltimaOmegaX317 really? oh my…

  7. UltimaOmegaX317 says:

    @MidnightRedemption sempron!

    Sempron 1.8Ghz or Pentium 2.0Ghz?

  10. Fastcarsupersports says:

    @vorkev1 Yes,it is the celeron e3300 which is best buy nowadays in the low-end processor range.The processor easily overclocks to 3.3 3.5 ghz on stock cooling,and,at those frecquencies it-s almost 5% slower than the e6300 which is almost three times the price.

  11. vorkev1 says:

    the atom was actuley suposed to replace the sempron. but what is funny is the atom was invented bfor the spron and out praformed it then and was cheaper. but that decided to go with the sempron. the persion who made the sempron did not think. after all a k6-2 overclocked to its furest can out performance a sempron

  12. vorkev1 says:

    the old athlon xps can run windows 7 just fine two and can actuley outperfor some moderenday pcs

  13. vorkev1 says:

    you are pritty much right except thare is one version of the celeron that can out perfor a athlon. and beleve be i dount like to admit that. its just tobad it took sone long time after athlon for then to release it.

  14. vorkev1 says:

    athlon is better sempron is a cheaper version of the athlon. its like the intel of amd. a nother words the sempron is cheap pore quality like intell cpus. tho the new i7 i5 i3 and soon to be i9 are good cpus the only good thing to come frome intel since the pentium 2 black.

    @onionofdeath but the 754 socket semprons are very fast for their price.They are an Athlon but with half of the cache and virtualisation removed.Can your athlon 2500+ compete with a sempron le-140?

    Compared to Athlon II or Phenom (or even Core 2 Duo or Core iX) the Sempron is very low-end. My Athlon XP 2500+ (from 2004) can actually compete with a modern-day "Huron" Sempron. But to each his own ;)

    Did you know? AMD Sempron is a low-end processor and Athlon is not, and that’s why Sempron sucks!
