AMD "Zacate" APU Will Accelerate HTML5 Games in Internet Explorer 9

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

AMD Space Command is a fun game that shows the graphics acceleration of Direct2D technology in the IE9 (preview) browser. Shoot as many space attackers possible, and use the "GPU capacitor" to adjust the intensity of the game. AMD Space Command is built in HTML5, leveraging the GPU in your PC to improve graphics. You can see this first hand by keeping track of the Frames Per Second (FPS) as you adjust your GPU capacitor!

    very impressive if AMD delivers what is promises i might just dump intel

  2. Paper275 says:

    I’m and AMD fan but I’m curious to know why they didn’t disclose their own RAM speed?

    @points2shopPROOF Me… Played Black Ops while at the college today.

  4. Magnuspire says:

    @luigi4562 Really ram speed is irrelevant in this demonstration.

  5. Anim4000 says:

    Intel Graphics are stupid one, my laptop just have 8MB dedicated for Intel X3100 with enable aero and stupid fps on IE9 LOL

    @points2shopPROOF I do havoing an I7 620M and a Mobility radeon 5870 ….

    @3dkiller yea run them over.

    @OnlyJustUnknown Zacate is CPU + GPU. ION is a premium graphic for intel Atom basic system with Nvidia chipset.

  9. luigi4562 says:

    At 30 seconds it say that intel has 1333hz ram, lol thats like 0.001333Mhz and it says nothing about the ram on amd side, I havent expected that from amd.

  10. Usul573 says:

    Future stuff is slightly faster than current basic Intel graphics at some weird thing that no one cares about?

  11. points2shopPROOF says:

    who even plays games on their laptop >.>

  12. eatbetter says:

    @OnlyJustUnknown Well, yes they are quite different. Intel HD and Zacate are GPUs built into the CPU while Nvidia Ion has a GPU off the CPU chip(and is more of a combination of parts)

  13. OnlyJustUnknown says:

    @eatbetter It doesn’t hurt to compare ION and Zacate does it or are they completely different? I think they are both graphics processors.

  14. eatbetter says:

    @OnlyJustUnknown Those aren’t comparable, Intel HD and "Zacate" are integrated GPUs into the CPU. Nvidia Ion is a system/motherboard platform that includes Nvidia’s GeForce 9400M (MCP79) chipset, DDR3-1066 or DDR2-800 SDRAM, and the Intel Atom processor.

  15. Krisando says:

    I didn’t know one could appear brighter than the other. ;O

    No seriously, if you want people to believe this BS you shouldn’t do stupid things like dull the competitors. Who knows what else you have done.

  16. Greathoof says:

    I love how AMD is trying to show that they are better, when their program is not even rendering correctly on their platform.

    Screw Intel HD, compare with Nvidia ION.

    i tried to install a alien swarm on my amd processor and it didn’t work. now i have to wait on a update for alien swarm which is pretty good. thx amd

  21. 1ichbinderking says:

    LOL NOT FASTER THAN INTEL CORE I7 980X

  22. DFzwo says:

    [irony] The Intel System had only RAM with a speed of 1333 Hz – thats why! [/irony] – related to the system specs at the end where it’s written wrong :D
