This helped me a lot on choosing a processor. Thanks a lot Linus.
I play alot of games and do video editing as well as just surfing the interwebs and watching movies. IMO intel does the same thing that AMD does just costs more. Im sure with the amd 1090T x6 you wouldn’t notice a difference from the intel i7-970 with your eyes. im sure they would be exactly the same. which is why id rather go with the amd over intel. plus if something goes wrong you can replace it 3 times and still pay less than the i7. I prefer amd. thanks ncix for the video. enjoyed it alot.
I find if you buy cheap now you can spend the extra cash on a great GPU I’m a gamer with a low budget so I got the AMD 1090T instead of the Intel i7 980X which will cost about the same as the GPU
I think AMD has the better bang for the buck. A Quad-Core processor can be only about $160 and you can save the rest of your money for a good graphics card and some RAM.
AMD is simply the best at their price range
Intel
@GpZ91 your a prick
Are you using Vista?
i personally run amd. i use it for gaming and serfing the net. its suits my needs and never gives me any trouble
Intel
This might help. I’ve had both AMD & Intel. I recently sold my Dell XPS 9000 w/ I7 920, ATI 5870 GPU & 6gb of DDR3 tri-channel. It was a true powerhouse and way more than I need. More into mult-media these days. I now have the AMD 1055T,integrated video & 4gb of 1333mhz. The AMD is obviously bottlenecked. Once I get a bigger vid-card & more memory I’m sure the AMD will be a powerhouse too. It’s screaming to be free. The I7 is great& I’m sure the AMD will be. I’ll let you know the results.
I prefere AMD.
They have lowest price and all summed the same performance.
I’ve to play games but in backgraund i’d like tu run some other applicatio so a multi core it’s perfect for me, i’m gonna buy an AMD Phenom II x6 1090T.
That’s it
I would always take the AMD cuz if we take to 2 top end AMD and Intel they are almost same But to get top end board for Intel will cost you $500 + the CPU will run you $1000 so you already $1500 where and you get $229 for the Six core CPU and top board for %250 so you are only at $479
you have over $1000 lol for that amount you can buy memory and 2 ATI video cards
Which is better AMD or Intel???
i am currently using AMD, Athlon x2 5000 2.2ghz to be specific and it performs everything, it can be unlocked to x4 and run stable up to 2.9ghz with stock cooling and generic ddr2 800 mhz memz, but it will need more juice and consumes up to 140w load, but can run also on a single core configuration with downclock CNQ around 800mhz undervolt to .9v and consumes around 25w, waiting for CMv6, soon oc to 3.3
Intel boxes are always bigger are they tring to compensate somethyng…..? Buy Intel yeah the bigger the box the bigger the price and the lower and cheper the material…
AMD if you’re on a budget and Intel if you have the cash.
amd x6 is the best deal for us gamers i think
AMD Is way better because no one is buying Intel anymore thats why its over priced when you buy 1 Intel CPU its like your buying 3 six core AMD CPU at the same time witch is 18 cores witch is mentally retarded.
If you can afford it great. if not then quit whining LMAo.
Intel has more performance, but amd makes more sense.
When I built my PC, I could pay $100 for a 3.0GHz X4 AMD processor or $1000 for the equivalent Intel processor.
Easiest decision I’ve ever made.
I am currently for Intel because I can get a great gaming machine with them and hey, an i7-950 really isn’t that expensive anymore. Paired with some NVIDIA graphics it’s a monster.
i like AMD because i wanted to get a good gaming machine with a budget:
i have AMD phenom II x4 965 with ddr3 1333MHZ
I allready got this CPU (1055T) cause all in all (Mainboard + 2x2GB Ram + CPU) its was cheeper
