where is my botleneck if i got a gtx260 overclocked edition grafikscard a amd athelon x2 250 3ghz procesor 2X4 gig 1600mhz ocz ddr2 memory a asus m4a78 motherbord and a raw deal 620 + powersuply if im going to play the latest games and can manage without dx11 but i want to film the games using software? right now i have the decision between highest grafics on 1080p using low antialiicing ps crysis warhead runs all maxed even antialiacing or mid and capturing what im playing ?

@mikethemoneymaker Also I realize these systems are really set up for gaming but doing a fair full comparison would also include business and networking applications. I dare this AMD system of six cores to keep up with the 4 core i7 950 system matched with proper mother board, ram…I bet it cant be done when optimized equally.
Having said this I own several AMD X4 970 O.C.machines at home that kick butt , were very cost effective build compared to Intel. They are almost like running a server
My observation, this is not a valid compare of two systems. i have just done price compares and utilizing the common sense Vision method of optimizing a computer system trying to oust bottlenecks like Linus said. Also Overclocking ANY Intel CPU will not only void the warranty but also that of an Intel Mother Board. Even with coolers these components will age much faster.

@B1ACKROSEZ The i7 950 has 1 MB of L2 cache, 8 MB of L3 cache and a 3.06 GHZ clock speed compared to the x4 970 which has 2 MB of L2 cache, 6 MB of L3 cache and a 3.50 GHZ clock speed. Oh, and the x4 has an unlocked multiplier.
@vh2k lol intel crap? that 6 core only can compete with the 920, and atm for an extra 50-70 you can get a 950 which blows the phenom II x6. if it has the same price point it can be compared.
Is there any point in paying abit more money for the AMD Phenom II X6 1100 rather than getting the AMD Phenom II X6 1090?
