Hmmm So if its running on 6970 clocks… Does that mean that you could crossfire this card with a 6970?
@SonarWavePulse GIGABYTE SOC GTX460 is as fast as 6850 if not faster. I see uknow alot about specs.
@Hotrod768 Actually it can. This whole unlocking thing is flashing a 6950 with a 6970 bios.
So this card is already running at 6970 clocks.

The 6950 cant reach the clocks of the 6970, so the 6970 would still perform better. Regardless it’s still a ridiculous deal.
but it will not work because it needs the same power connectors as the 70 otherwise not enough power. crashes will be popular durring games.

nice! I unlocked my Sapphire AMD Radeon 6950 by using the Sapphire 6970 BIOS about two days ago!

@Aristowi meh. I’d rather have a GTX 570. Nvidia finally came through on the 500 series. temps and power consumption are great now, and the performance is better for my resolution (1920×1200)
