AMD Phenom II X6 1055T – Gigabyte 880GMA-UD2H system

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

This is a new AMD Phenom II X6 and Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H motherboard system. I look at the components and install them into my Antec case. They are VERY nice parts. I am an Intel guy but this AMD stuff is really impressing me. AMD is giving us great stuff for the money and I may consider AMD for my next build. This is a back-up system. I use it to test software, make videos and work on my RAW photos in Lightroom.

@LaczupakabraPL A little long but I wanted to get it all in. haha. It was a lot of fun. I am having hours of fun testing it and configuring it. I have been doing some overclocking but my monitor is an old VGA that does not video well. I think I will get a cheap LCD tomorrow and show some OC videos with this CPU and board. This "value" board will OC to 3 or 4 Ghz with no problem. Some will want to see this. Have a goos one zup!

@FuenfamTag Thanks, the 1090 is a great CPU. Not better than the i7950 but more for the money. Good luck and all the best.

Nice upload, you really picked good parts for your system. I can´t decide yet if I want go with the Phenom II X6 1090T or the Intel Core I7 950 for my second gaming system. Until now I´m pretty happy with my current AMD Cpu but I will see….

    Thumbs up and many greetings.

@BadApathy Hey man! I don’t know what that tool is called. It did come in a kit. I’m sure you can get one for cheap! Search around and you’ll find one. They are great!

Ok, I really want that prong tool thingy you have…frickin brilliant! What’s it called? Do you have to buy a computer tool kit to get it? Thnx! :)

@shizdank Thanks for the kind words man! I am overclocking it now. I have it running at 3.3Ghz stable for about 2 hours on Prime95. Good stuff!

Thanks for the clarification on Windows too!

awesome upgrade!!! im a heavy gamer, folder and also use audio software. out of both my i7920 and 1090t, im a little bit more impressed by the amd setup and use more for the power saving qualities.

for windows 7 oem and a major hardware change may require a reactivation of your key. it takes a phone call and a little time but its simple.

    gratz on the post beep!

@AgentHydra I had some G-Skill 1333 (8-8-8-21) I used that for the RAM. It seems to be working fine.l It was 1.5V so it’s what this board wants. I trust this Gigabyte board to OC. I used an EP-45-UD3P to OC the crap out of 2 CPUs and it performed as well as anything could. I will see how this board does.

what RAM did you get? also i wouldn’t plan on overclocking too much, I’ve heard of some older Gigabyte boards w/o MOSFET cooling catching on fire when overvolted lol.

6:43 I would have thought that you would have a more better tool kit that the one you have. I have a 146 Rosewill Professional Computer Kit and that comes with everything you need for building a PC
