Maybe i’m new, but i’m pretty sure the cpu you are using has little correlation as to if your OS is 32 or 64bit
@mauzzeppelinhendirx The chip should work with am3 and am2+ sockets, I think he says in the video even. But the 970 is an am3 socket chip, so you should be okay.
As to whether you should replace your cpu or graphics card, it really depends what you are doing with your computer. If you run multiple demanding applications, you might want to upgrade your cpu, but if you want to upgrade because games are not running as well as you would like, its likely you want to upgrade your 5670.
@MDrummer96 it depends on what you will use it for. if you will be only gaming, then get the 970. if you will be gaming and using graphics software, then get the 1090t because it has 6 cores. for my self, i would buy AMD 1055t + CPU cooler and overclock it. the 1055t is cheaper than the 970 and the 1090t, and you will have great performance after overclocking it.

@mauzzeppelinhendirx Always check the motherboard manufacturer’s website for compatibility of the cpu for the current board you are asking about, I would do it for you but then you wouldn’t learn anything.

@BRAeminem well the latest i7 is hex core the 970 is quad core… AMD have some fantastic 6 core processors that are much cheaper as you know (you can get them for the same price as an i5) and they are only slightly worse (aparently). AMD would be the choice for me, i went for an i5
But if your looking at games you might as well get an amazing graphics card

wats better amd 970 or the latest i7. i know amd is MUCK cheaper and more energy efficient but if i wanna play games like crysis, bfbc2 and other good games which one is better?
