Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

If you enjoyed The Experiment now you can see Dragon Technology shatter 7GHz! in this stunning sequel | links.amd.com | In the the Nevada desert outside of Las Vegas during CES 2009, overclockers Sampsa & SF3D from Team Finland and Pete Hardman and Sami Makinen from AMD, use a combination of liquid nitrogen and liquid helium to reach CPU tempertures of -232 degrees Celsius in order to attain CPU clock speeds of 6.5GHz and smashing the world record for 3DMarks with 45474 3DMarks in a test.

@cyclist14 hehe nice idea, but i dont think they will rise the frequenzy! they will rise the efficiency or they will found something new like a christal :D

@EvilMrDark your getting mixed up. this is indeed overclocking….but to the extreme. overclocking is possible in any modern machine. just as long as you have a descent cpu cooler. I over clock all the time! :)

  12. EvilMrDark says:

@gumberly But, how to use all this at my home….?
    Oo

  13. gumberly says:

@EvilMrDark to get tremendous performance improvement.
    get higher benchmark scores
    get higher fps
    reduce bottleneck
    set world records.
    aahhh……..i don’t know……making your microwave perform faster….

  14. EvilMrDark says:

…what is point of overclocking pc?

  15. 400sean says:

i wonder what happens if you put liquid nitrogen in a liquid cooling system

Liquid nitrogen + Isopropal + top gear overdrive

Guys why when i Overclock My E2140 to 1.8 Ghz …And just when i turn my Pc when i just dont do anything just on Idle after 4-5 min i Got a blue Screen and my Pc Turn’s off and i dident even Put more Voltage cuz e2140 doesnt need a Voltage increase for 0.2 Overlock Srry For my bad English … :)

@dproffessa It doesn’t super conduct at these temperatures though. Silicon superconducts at 0.35K (-272.65°C). However, the resistance is considerably less at this temperature, yes.

@Aspect2010 Ah okey than I misunderstood what you said. I think they will be used in super computers first (since the first quantum processors will be really big I guess) but like you say they may find applications in small devices before they get in desktop pc’s. Nevertheless I still believe one day nearly everyone will have a quantum processor (because of their huge possibilities) in their deskto unless better technologies are discovered by then.
