The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!
AMD hosted an ISV graphics technology roundtable in London in January 2010 with partners ARLT Computers, Codemasters, Rebellion and Sapphire and selected press to discuss gaming in 2010, upcoming developments, the role of the full partner ecosystem in the gaming experience and DX11. This video identifies the key outcomes from that event as well as predictions for gaming in 2010.

@uSM3X pc’s have always killed consoles
i have a 2.2ghz amd 4200+ 2.5gigs of ddr2 533
my gpu is a 5770 but my computer is starting to fall behind
More than twice as much, last time i saw the price it was around $700 on eBay, really pricey but i understand why its price is that high.
Just be glad he didn’t say call of duty.
@acer0c my bad dude, I meant to comment off "purewolfgod1" because he said that when consoles come out they are the same graphics generation of the pc. then he just recently said that the 360 is comparable to the 6800 nvidia and the x800 ati. if that’s the case, 360 came out in 2005, in 2005 pc was up to the ati x1950gt and 8000 series nvidia.
I agree, bf bad company was ported to pc, but it still looks hella better (and i bang out a good 80fps solid on highest gfx 24xAA and 16AF)
@purewolfgod1 If that was true, then you proved me right. consoles come out being behind, never the same. The 360 launched when? 2005? in 2005 we had the x1900 series graphics from ATI. The x1950gt is better then both the 6800 and the 7800, since it came out the same time the 8000 series nvidia popped out.
Are you stupid? i know the xbox 360 sucks obviously you cant read though, i SAID THAT THE GAME YOU CHOSE WAS A BAD EXAMPLE PC IS BETTER THEN CONSOLE but BATTLEFIELD bad company 2 is a port game, SO if you would have say chosen MW2 there is a bigger graphical difference from pc to console, READ NEXT TIME BEFORE YOU NERD RAGE
I know i am waiting till Nvidia comes out with it’s new cards, before i decide what GPU i will be getting for my system, also price will tell what i get also, I currently have 2 EVGA 9500GT 1GB cards in SLI at the moment, and they play most games well enough for me, plus my AMD mobo has Nivida chipsets to start with, but i still love AMD and ATI for what they bring to the table.
@bastec666
At the time a new console comes out they are basically equal to the computers of that time. That is what I said.
I know about ATI and graphics cards. Even NVidia. I probably know more then you.
@bastec666
It is similar to a 6800. PS3 is similar to a 7800.
@Cotton926 no it’s not. it’s barley unheard of
@z34gtp9395 awesome. i have a 4770 right now and i plan to get a 5770 within a couple of monthes
my ati 5970 costs more then ps3 hehe
@bastec666
so true, but you made a terrible example
bf bad company 2 is a port from console to pc, its a super fun game but it was designed for consoles first, says so in the development diaries, it still looks better i bet (cause aa and af and probably a few higher settings) but there is other games that would be alot more dramatic of a difference from console to pc then bf bc2
@purewolfgod1 Sorry but your in denial man. The ATI GPU in the 360 is equal to a HD2000 series graphics card in a PC. There is a 3000 series, a 4000 series, and now the 5000 series. The consoles HAVE NOT caught up with the hardware. Maybe the next gen 360 and ps3 will have close if not equal graphics to a PC, but right now, nope. My 4870 1Gb on full blast in BF-Bad Comapany 2 Vs. a 360 or ps3, my PC looks better @ 1080p on the same HD TV. 360 and PS3 don’t even compare.
onlive is gonna pwn everything
ati is a part of amd, yes.
but when they came out that was the most advanced hardware currently available, and not on PC untill like 2006-7
amd is ati
you have to remember when consoles first come out there 500-700. thats enough for a decent gaming rig.
@FedoraFTW
Consoles tend to be as powerful or slightly more powerful then the PCs of their launch date, not counting the Wii. Imagine how powerful the next consoles will be. Games will get more complex to make and that just makes even more developers give in to focusing more on the consoles. PC gaming might not die for a while. But it could be reduced unless graphics cards prices go down and consumers quit whining about the prices(they really look at the most expensive ones…).

Sorta on topic, hope you run an overclocking event for Thuban Hexa-Core when they arrive, i wanna see six cores running 7GHz+ breakin’ records!
