    @UsernameError69 x86 describes the processor – x64 the ram – get it?

  4. fthis12345 says:

    @GamerAndReviewer LOL.

  5. Genevill says:

    @UsernameError69 yes it will support both x86 & x64 :)

  6. MrOverwise says:

    Oh my God…I want one of these…

  7. UsernameError69 says:

    y is it only x86 and not x64?

  8. randomuseronthenet says:

    What’s the esteemed price for the bulldozer chip?

  9. GamerAndReviewer says:

    AMD should make a Phenom II X8 at 4GHz stock and name the chip "PussyCat"!!! Haha… :D

    @Deathwing120l The Cell processor has a PowerPC "PPU" and 7 SPU’s. The SPU’s are more like shading units in a GPU, so I would suggest a graphics card and using GPGPU to be equivalent to the Cell processor.

    Wikipedia says each SPU gives about 25.6 GFLOPS. Times six, that’s 153.6 GFLOPS. A mid-range Radeon or GeForce GPU easily achieves that.
    Radeon HD 5550 = 352 GFLOPS
    GeForce GT 220 = 196 GFLOPS

    @hazzard77 What you got to understand is that the design of the PS3′s cell processor is far different than that of PC processors. While it is true that the ps3 has a total of 7 cores running at 3.2, only 6 are ever used as one is always on reserve. Also something to consider is that the ps3 uses its own specialized processing algorithm. You may have heard that the ps3 is hard to code for, and that is why. A PC cpu has much more to handle, and thus must accept all of it. A PC can do more.

    @hazzard77

    Don’t know. Since 8-core CPU is the nearest option, I’d say an Intel Core i7 8xx series. For GFX, I’d say a GeForce 8xxx series ’cause GeForce 7 series kind of suck.

    Total cost ? A bit more, ’cause case is much bigger and the CPU is expensive.

  13. Daxter609 says:

    @Dreadlockyx I guess I’ll buy the 8 core system cause I think 16 cores are overkill for the things I’m doing. Then again if it ain’t expensive I would buy it and do some epic over clocking.

  14. hazzard77 says:

    @Dreadlockyx OK then. How much do you think it would cost to build a PC with the same performance as a PS3?

  15. Dreadlockyx says:

    @starwarsfan76

    You correctly heard 16 cores. 8 and 16 model are going to be out. I’d say 300€ for 16-core CPU.

  16. Dreadlockyx says:

    @Daxter609

    Yep.

  17. hazzard77 says:

    Why do you have to spend $6000 for a computer that has the same performance as a PS3 that costs $300?

  18. Genevill says:

    @KillmeWhenIcumBabe if weir talking discrete cores in Bulldozer vs the multi-threading offered by Intel; the discrete cores will preform much better under full load thus winning hands-down!

    keep in mind that its up to game developers to create patch & or updates to take full advantage of AMD’s new architecture, that said i don’t think u have to worry about games like BC2/GTA4 as they are optimized to use all available cores.

    as for me I’m concerned about the pricing! :)

  19. Krieger91 says:

    @ffdxshow Early 2011 I think.

  20. KillmeWhenIcumBabe says:

    All the technical stuff aside, How much better do you think Bulldozer will be when compared to the i7 920 clock for clock when it comes to CPU heavy games like GTA4 and BC2.

  21. Daxter609 says:

    @XxXPenrdXxX Uh yes I plan on doing some video editing, some game engines and other cpu intense things.

  22. XxXPenrdXxX says:

    @Daxter609 are you going use all the cores?

  23. catnipkiller says:

    ontario ftw
