The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

At New Yorks Marquee Club on August 11, 2008, AMD demonstrated new technologies that promise to forever fuse 3D photorealism, cinematic immersion and video game interactivity while altering the landscape of how content creators and their audiences interact with digital media. The New Era of Cinema 2.0 begins. Realtime rendering of compute-intensive photorealistic 3D graphics that make Cinmea 2.0 a reality is made possible in part by the ATI Radeon(TM) 4870 graphics processor by AMD that is capable of delivering more than 1 teraFLOP of render power on a single chip.

The 4890 is more powerful than the 260

Alright, now all we need is an innovative control system as they said. I’m sick and tired of useing a mouse and keyboard.

  6. mrh112 says:

cool dx11 and the 5000 series is out now, also i herd that dx11 has this software so hopefully we will see this comming into games soon :P

  7. THuGZZTA says:

I’m pretty sure all nvidia cards are ddr3. But yeah, ATI cards do have ddr5.

  8. charmandarstudios says:

    a gtx 260 beats a hd 4890 hd 4850 is best in $ range

  9. inviktus1983 says:

Why are you replying to me? I never advocated nividia OR ati. I cast my vote to whoever performs better on race day. That changes all the time. Sometimes nvidia is in front, sometimes ati, Reply to the relevant comment.

  10. drjakson1 says:

who even cares, your nvidia cards are still way overpriced anyway, and no im not a fan boy i own both cards but find my ati alot more cost effective, i havent looked at nvidia cards since last year because i dont need to, im not somekind of obsessed geek you see i just enjoy playing games at at least 25fps

  11. inviktus1983 says:

Uhh.. guess again. The ATI/AMD GFX cards do use DDR5. Do you even know what you are talking about?

  12. inviktus1983 says:

The more expensive ones, yeah nvidia is better. but as far as the best power to money ratio, you gotta hand it to ATI for their mid range cards that perform as well as some of nvidias high end stuff. As far as AMD cpus.. I believe intel is still winning that race.

  13. mrh112 says:

what they dont use ddr5 and if they did guess who they got the tech from like dx11 lol

  14. inviktus1983 says:

Do you even know what the hell you are talking about? I think not. For a start all gfx cards today dont even use DDR3. they use like DDR5. Get a clue.

the womans face is too clear and purfect thats why it looks faker than the mans who put all the realistic detail they could into it, i think the women didnt want to look ugly so told the developers to put makup on her or something but at the end of the day made her look like cgi which is a bad thing

It really doesn’t. Check Toms Hardware, MaximumPC, or Computer Power User and they will all say a 4870 will work it and stay within a descent range of the 275. 260+ falls at high resolutions with AA on.

Anywhere I normally buy from has the GTX260+ cheaper than a 1GB 4870.
And it runs faster, cooler and overclocks better.

Well, I’d say so, yes. But the card he talks about in the end is the 4870X2.

But I’d think the 4850 counts as well as it also has 1terraflop computing power. :)

(the 4850 has 1TF, the 4870 has 1.2TF or something..) Anyone know?
