AMD Athlon II X4 620 Unboxing!

Check out this site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance!
The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!

Unboxing my new Athlon II X4! Its going into my new budget gamingstudy-computer :) EDIT#1: Very good performance. 29C Idle to 52C Load. Cooler gets pretty loud under heavy pressure. I tweaked the core-voltages (no performance loss) and got it to run about 4C cooler. EDIT#2: Ive bought a new cooler (Cooler Master Hyper TX3), and the processor is now running between 28 (surfing) to 40 (encoding etc.) Celcius, and quietly so. 21C at absolute idle!! NOTE#3: Im now running it at stable 3.0GHz (still at previously mentioned temperatures). It certainly goes higher but I felt that 3.0 was good enough.

    However with the right gpu you can.

    how many bit cpu have???

    @vibyjocke i got that cept mine says 630 not 620. what i need to know is can i run any of these three games off of or on steam? list as follows: fallout 3, fallout new vegas, l4d1. thanks.

    @Kevinmaxtor
    Yeah, but watch the temperatures in the beginning.

  5. Kevinmaxtor says:

    how much do you think i cant overclock with the stock cooler? maybe 3.0ghz? I have this chip too thanks!

  6. basbas63 says:

    @vibyjocke i have seen one so far at a amd demo about 50-60c in a laptops with a factory underclock to 2.0ghz and 50-60 is fine for this cpu only i love my coolermaster hyper tx3 cooler that one keeps it 43c at max load at 3.0ghz (i ran 2 weeks on that 3.3ghz 1 week stock 2 weeks tx3 but i think 3.0 is ok) the laptop i saw was at a amd demonstration and it’s not for sale yet so i think that is the reason you never saw one

    @basbas63
    50-60C is way too much in my book though. Also I’ve never seen this processor in a laptop, and I doubt there is. You sure?

  8. basbas63 says:

    @basbas63 it’s really strange this cpu it is the same you buy for desktops as you have it in laptops that is the funny thing

  9. basbas63 says:

    AMD= affordable performance, that is how we like it. :D

  10. basbas63 says:

    @vibyjocke light? i had this at 3.3ghz and it had about temps of 50-60 C (celcius) and the max running temp of this thing is 72 and i mean 50-60 under 100%load so

  11. basbas63 says:

    @vibyjocke if you get a aftermarked cooler your system performs better when overclocking because it throttles when at about 2.9ghz and over to keep the temps down (throttling meanse mhz’s down up down up so the temps stay lower)

  12. basbas63 says:

    @iEmpowered okay THNX

  13. vibyjocke says:

    @helloimclaudio
    At safe temperatures, of course. Also for some light overclocking.

  14. helloimclaudio says:

    I am getting this processor, but i was wodnering. Does the stock cooler do a good job at keeping it at safe temperatures? I’ am going to get a new cooler anyways, but a couple months after i get the cpu, i am going to have to stay about 2-3 months with the stock cooler, so will it get the job done?

  15. iEmpowered says:

    @phatmonk6195

    Yep, it’s a nice processor.
    The only thing that should lag you from gaming usually is the GPU.

  16. iEmpowered says:

    @basbas63

    Don’t worry about putting too much voltage. Just give it enough to boot up and stable. My CPU’s voltage is currently at 1.45V. No problems. The only thing that you should be afraid of is running your CPU at constant high temperatures. If there is too much voltage, usually the motherboard should warn you the next boot. :)

  17. iEmpowered says:

    @basbas63

    I got mine to 3.36Ghz and it runs nice and cool at 25C-30C with Firefox and iTunes open and ~40C when gaming. :D

    Hurray for TX3 and the Athlon II X4! :D

  18. vibyjocke says:

    @phatmonk6195
    Absolutely :)

  19. phatmonk6195 says:

    i might get this processor. is it good for average gaming?

  20. basbas63 says:

    I habe the coolermaster hyper tx3 now just like u and i get 22c when surfing the web and so on and it is awesome only 42C when playing gta 4 (my favo game haha) and it’s oced to 3.12ghz because i don’t want to tweak the voltages because it can fry ur cpu haha

  21. Warfare451 says:

    great video…great cpu…

  22. tannermiddleton says:

    really like this cpu at 3.33ghz runs like a champ. and with my zalman cooler i get idle temps at 30 degrees Celsius and load at 48 degrees Celsius couldn’t ask for better result really.

  23. vibyjocke says:

    @zikari0
    No hay L3 cache.

  24. zikari0 says:
