Smarter to use the 790fx. The new 890FX is a shortlived and dated chipset. When the 8 core cpu comes out you will see the the 990FX chipset and get the Bulldozer Zambezi will only use the new 990FX CHIPSET cause of the 24gb quad channel memorey configuration.

@PCWizKid Hey, I’m look to buy this board with a 955BE With a large aftermarket cooler (Zalman 9700 or 9900 for overclocking purposes). With that heatsink, would I be able to fit in the new 6870 in the PCI-E slot nearest the CPU socket with that notoriously large aftermarket cooler? I do wish to install a 2nd 6870 a year or so down the road.

  6. GamerNebulae says:

@simoncallender Yes it will. But it is HYBRID CROSSFIRE. It’s not as fast a crossfire(x). so i wouldn’t do that. Just buy the best graphics card that you can afford and that has also the futures d=from today!

  7. simoncallender says:

so if i put a hd 4890 in it i could crossfire it with the intergrated graphics?

Tell me, I did not really understand what you wanted to tell by this pic at 0:58.
Plus, you placed an Athlon II image above the Phenom II cpu(second row).

@OmwanaX You can try another media player. I don’t think Windows media player supports .vob. You can also try downloading a codec.

@FRURMELLL I recently bought a used Toshiba laptop after my HP crashed, having owned it for three years since brand new. Being used, the Toshiba had problems, and no original Vista Home Premium disc. Someone ordered a replacement disc and did the reinstall. Everything looks nice and okay now. However, Windows Media Player will not play .vob files on my external hard drive. The HP, with a similar Vista version, used to play them. What do I need to do?

  32. FRURMELLL says:

@fagerbag Really dude, you need to save money for a case. A case is necessary, it will also support the video card, so it doesn’t sit in the slot unsecure. Look them up, they’re not so pricey. Cases are very affordable.

@OmwanaX It’s probably a wise choice, to choose a lower-end motherboard. This one is really designed for hardcore gamers, and overclockers. Try choosing a lower end one, then install a 5450 video card, that will do. The sound card is really nice, as well.
