personally i prefer numbers that are FPS rates in games, and in most cases the 570 beats the HD 6970, im no Nvidia fan boy since i own a HD 6870, and stuck wether to crossfire or wether to buy a 570, i think 570 as it will be cooler and much, much quieter….

Source: my friend – he has just bought the 6970 and on lost planet at 1920×1200 its hovering around 50 FPS and the 570 is around 65 the same, but then in other games the gap is literally 1-2 fps, but with the 570 still on top.your choice

Don’t know which GPU to get =(( Got a 450 GTS for the beginning, but I will definitely ugrade my GPU… but it’s not easy to decide, as new cards keep coming every week or so… I think I’ll wait for the GTX 560 or get the 570. AMD’s cards sure are also as fast as hell, but I like nVidias features a bit more… Is a be quiet Pure Power 530W PSU enough for each of those cards plus my AMD phenom II x4 965? So many questions =D

  5. cheeches says:

@CastAway421 rofl idiot micro stuttering is on nvidias side also lol

  6. varnlestoff says:

@dylanriggs4 sort of. I looked at some more comprehensive benches, and most good reviews tell you that the GTX570 out preforms the 6970 anywhere from 1280/1024 – 1920/1200, but once you start benching screens with higher resolution than that, the 6970 starts winning. So the 6970 is better the enthusiasts who like bigger screens.

@CastAway421 welcome to nvidia fan club :)

  8. s9729126c says:

@dylanriggs4 dont worry. Just wait for AMD’s drivers to mature in the next 2 months or so. nvidia’s launch drivers are typically pretty solid, while AMDs are total crap.

  9. Xigmatek says:

3 580′s lol, Up to you man, Thanks!

BTW what happen to your Logo ?

  10. dylanriggs4 says:

    @PowerGPUcom

Ah, okay. Hopefully the actual benchmarks reveal more performance than the synthetic ones. The 6970 isn’t much of a card if the mid grade Nvidia is as fast as AMD’s high end + the prices are the same. And now AMD doesn’t have much of the power/heat advantage like last gen.

*Crosses Fingers* I’m really hoping AMD pulls through

  11. PowerGPUcom says:

@dylanriggs4 the results are from maximumpc we just got the article in the store. Tigerdirectcom

    @PowerGPUcom

So your test was of a GTX 570? Comparing it to the LEAKED 6970 benches? Or did you bench a 6970? Hopefully the 6970 performs better in actual games than what the leaked benchies say.

  13. PowerGPUcom says:

@dylanriggs4 ohh i know my internet sucks lol

  14. dylanriggs4 says:

Wow. So the 6970 is a hair better than the 570 and priced the same… doesn’t look like the 6970 is doing all that well.

I liked how the uploader took half the video time trying to get to the website.. lol

  15. 191desperado says:

Lean back to the Dark side bro! I wanna see how bad 3 570′s kill my 3 470′s! ;(

  16. JezEngland says:

@EliteComputerBuilds in Britain overclockersuk is selling the 6970 for £279.99 and 6950 for £219.98

  17. PowerGPUcom says:

i think i am going with the 6970 three of them once i am done testing the gtx 570

  18. EliteComputerBuilds says:

Newegg has them up, 6950 for $299.99 and the 6970 for $369.99.

  19. JezEngland says:

vortez.co.uk has a 3d mark 11 result for the 6970 and it scored lower than the 570. i think your reference is quite old. i did look a about a month ago and think i saw that one

  20. JezEngland says:

ok. when nvidia gives you the new driver smile. the 480 was close to the 5870 on release and now it’s better all over the board i think and with nvidia 3d settings maxed. ty

  21. MeestaBojangles says:

Of course you would lean towards a card you just bought and have already spent your money on. It would be stupid otherwise to lean to another card that just came out a week after you bought a card of the same range.

  22. Zacharypwns says:

    lol Inception music in backround
